The Kundalini is an energy resting at the basis of the spine where lies your full potential which has been suppressed by your mind limitations.

Kundalini yoga a dynamic form of yoga which uses different techniques (poses, breathing, mantras, mudras, meditation) to release that untapped energy, removing any long held physical and emotional blockages. It is powerful for healing and in particular to clear the subconscious mind from all your old mind patterns.  As a result, instead of being driven by your thoughts and your emotions you start being driven by your intuition, achieving your full unlimited potential.

Summer Solstice

Join Olga and the Hot Yoga Society team as we celebrate the summer solstice at a free, outside class at Pottersfields on the Thames. We promise you an uplifting and energising experience as you practice in the fresh air with 100’s of yogis. What better way could there be to enjoy the solstice than with a back drop of the Tower of London?

The 60min yoga class starts at 6pm and will be followed by a 15 minute Mindolistic (mindfulness meditation) session.

Please bring a mat unless you prefer to practice barefoot on the grass.

Digestion and heat are the two most significant purposes of the solar plexus in yoga.

Hot yoga demands the practitioner generates heat to increase the suppleness of the body and mind and the digestion of food, a main source of prana, life force.

With the room as warm as an Indian morning, the asanas create agni- fire in the solar plexus which increases strength and flexibility.

Forward bends are the basis of hot yoga in generating that heat.The mahabhuta (element) associated with manipura/ uddiyana bhanda and chakra is agni – master this and your practice is on FIRE!!

Kate Magic is internationally recognized as a pioneer of the global raw foods movement. She has thrived on a raw vegan diet for nearly 25 years, and raised three children as raw vegans. She is the founder of RawLiving.eu, Europe’s leading resource for raw food and superfood ingredients, and author of three much loved raw food recipe books. She has been teaching classes on raw foods for 15 years, and travelled to over 20 countries. She worked as consultant chef to London’s newest raw eatery, Rawligion.

A great chance to learn some capoeira moves. All done in a fun way to LIVE MUSIC!

This 2 hour workshop will give you an introduction to the ‘Orinoco Fit’ method which enhances strength and coordination as well as promoting endurance. It originates from traditional capoeira moves.
We will use blocks, and other props to help you reach your optimum technique during capoeira style drills.

This workshop is for anyone from yogis to office workers and athletes to first timers. Come and join us and enjoy the movement and music from traditional capoeira musicians.

Urban Triathlon

Join us for a unique Hot Yoga Society Urban Triathlon experience.

You’ll start at Cyclebeat with a Pete Mac “Hot Core, Abs and Glute Blast” that will leave you ready for a 35min indoor cycling (AKA spinning) class. You’ll then be taken on a 5K run led by Run Yoga Run that will end at the Hot Yoga Society studio where you’ll take part in a 90 minute Bikram  Method yoga class.

Paola’s Body Barre flow, guest class! Monday 24 October 8.30 - 9.30pm

Derived from Paola’s Signature method, PBB Flow incorporates standing and floor barre sequences, deep stretches and core conditioning. Drawing elements from Pilates and Ballet, PBB gets into the deeper stabilising muscles as well as the peripheral muscles, working them to exhaustion, giving you a tight, chiselled body.

Yoga cross Training - workshop with Adam Husler. Sunday 2 October 2 – 4pm

Those ‘cool’ looking inversions and arm balances that you spot people popping out in the studio and social media they don’t just magically happen one day. Each arm balance, inversion, and transition takes lots of small simple drills done again and again, along with working to condition the whole body and build lean muscle strength.

A special extended 2 hour Master Classtaught by senior teachers Sindy and Michael to give you a deeper understanding of the postures and to integrate and expand your knowledge of your own practise. During this Master Class, you will receive additional care and attention to individual alignment and corrections as there will be 2 teachers on hand! This class is aimed at all practitioners – beginners through to advanced.

This workshop with Sindy and Michael will focus and improve your awareness and execution of 4 key postures that anchor the Bikram standing sequence: half moon, standing head to knee, standing bow and triangle. This workshop is for all levels from beginners through to accomplished yogis!
