Our classes take place in a room heated to around 105°F (40°C) with 60% humidity. In this environment, the unique sequence of postures pushes your body to its full potential, while you’re encouraged to remain still, calm and composed.

Many of our members use hot yoga to complement other forms of exercise in their lives. Hot yoga helps increase flexibility and endurance, working your heart in the same way you would running a mile. Combining the postures with the high temperature increases the heart rate and thins the blood making hot yoga a great cardiovascular exercise.



Without even leaving the mat, a 90-minute class can burn up to 1,000 calories! Stretching internal organs and glands also stimulates metabolism, so you’ll even burn calories quicker outside the hot room too!

After a few classes of hot yoga, you’ll begin to see the positive effects it has on the mind, as well as the body. The heat of the room requires the determination and will-power to settle into your environment, training your mind to focus on your breath, stay in the moment and stop thinking about the negative things we all get caught up in!

The primary purpose of hot yoga is therapy. With a regular practice, the postures can help to heal old injuries and prevent them recurring, particularly back pain. Hot yoga improves the immune system by increasing the body’s core temperature, and is known to reduce symptoms of conditions such as diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, depression, arthritis and obesity.


body strength

Hot yoga is low impact and uses muscles you didn’t know you had, using your body as a system of weights to build lean muscle strength. With repeated practice, this makes us leaner, stronger and more toned, in a way that is good for our bodies. Also, a prime focus is on spine strength, which is key to a long healthy life.



Hot yoga is a combination of intense exercise and relaxation of the mind and body. The feeling of leaving the hot room after a good session can feel like you’re walking on air, making the tube ride home a lot easier to deal with!
