Run + Yoga = Duathlon

My absolute highlight from the Big Weekender in March, and, believe me there were many, had to have been that moment, standing on the Millennium Bridge, in the middle of London, surrounded by people cheering us and high-fiving us, alongside 50 other Urban Triathletes. It was electric.

I had never run with a run club leader before as part of a group. There is something very special about running as a team which really does help keep your spirits up and the Run Club leader was the key to making that happen.

But more than anything, that feeling of being in a hot and sweaty, but calm and relaxing Bikram Yoga class with Cintra, after all that hard work, was like nothing else.

 At that moment, there was no doubt in my mind that we would have to plan another.

Hot Yoga Society’s next Urban Triathlon is scheduled for next Autumn.  But before then, we are holding our own Duathlon – a run and yoga combo!

On Saturday May 20th at 9am, we will set off on a 5k run across the streets of Central London. We will again be led by RunYogaRun who bring a wealth of experience of leading group runs. We will end at Hot Yoga Society for the 10.15am class where you will melt away all that hard work.
