Mindfulness is a simple form of meditation which consists of focusing attention on your breath and observing your thoughts as they arise in your mind. The practice is proven to bring about long-term changes in mood, happiness and wellbeing, making it the perfect complement to your hot yoga routine.

Mindfulness can make a difference to anyone looking to improve themselves and their day-to-day performance. For this reason it’s used as much by multinational corporations for their senior level staff as it is by the NHS for patients suffering from depression or anxiety.

Here at the Hot Yoga Society, we practice mindfulness alongside hot yoga, to give ourselves a clear mind and focus on the stuff that matters in life. For members it can be integrated into your routine, either as a free weekly Mindfulness session before or after class, or as part of a short 90 minute workshop or the MBSR 8-week course.

mindolistic meditation

A Mindolistic session is a little holiday from your everyday mind, a mental massage combining elements of Mindfulness, guided meditation and some aspects of hypnotherapy.

A session of pure chillness to leave you refreshed and rejuvenated.

Open to all levels we can’t recommend this class highly enough, especially if you’ve never tried mindfulness or meditation before.

free mindfulness taster session

Every month we offer a FREE Mindfulness taster session either in the studio space or in the corridor space adjacent to our yoga room. Simon, an experienced Mindfulness teacher, will guide you through this Mindfulness Meditation. Perfect to set you up for the week ahead as well as helping you to understand a little about Mindfulness Meditation and the benefits it can bring.

Enjoy a 60 minute Mindfulness Meditation in our warm yoga room.

The core skill that you will learn is ‘mindfulness’; a way of paying attention, on purpose and non-judgementally, to what goes on in the present moment in your body, mind, and the world around you. Mindfulness can enable you to see things differently, undoing mental and physical knots and tensions. It can increase your sense of personal confidence, of having more options and more strength to face the different challenges in your life.
